Every October the county comes alive for the Covered Bridge Festival, one of the largest festivals in the Midwest. Rockville is 13 miles for groceries, and Amish markets nearby offer fresh local goods year-round.

The farmhouse and grounds are yours to enjoy! A couple of things to keep in mind: the farmhouse basement is not accessible to guests, and the barn storage area is not accessible to guests as it may house farm machinery. The fields surrounding the property are active farmland — please stay out of the crops and keep a safe distance from any farm equipment in operation, as operators may not always see you.

Gather around the firepit for evening s’mores or challenge the group to a cornhole match in the yard. The farmhouse has one bedroom on the main floor and three upstairs, each with its own private bath. Need extra sleeping space? Two twin pull-out beds are included in the game room, with two rollaway beds available for an additional charge. The adjacent barn suite adds a king bedroom, full bath, efficiency kitchen, and living area with queen sofa-bed.

This is true rural Indiana — part of the charm! A personal vehicle is essential, as no rideshare or taxi service is available in the area. The good news is that Turkey Run State Park is just 2 miles away, and most of Parke County's covered bridges, Amish shops, and outdoor attractions are an easy and scenic drive from the farm.
